Whispers at the Water’s Edge

What do you hear when you stop to listen?

Every time I go to the beach,

I meet God.

Not in a booming, dramatic way, but quietly, like a friend waiting at the edge of the water.

There’s something divine in the waves,
the way they keep reaching,
always trying to kiss the shore,
never giving up.
The sunset feels like a secret,
painting the sky just for me,
and the sand, tumbling between my toes,
is a reminder that even the smallest things matter.

Even I, matter.

The wind rushes by, and I swear it hooks my soul,
pulling it along, off to enchant someone else’s heart.

Standing there, at water’s edge I feel it all so deeply — desire, longing, hope.
The tides stir something in me that wants everything:
Love so big it could drown me.
Life so full it spills over…
