If It Won’t Matter in a Year…

Most of what we carry each day…doesn’t need to be carried at all.
We get tangled up in the micro-moments of life. The comment made in passing that didn’t land quite right. The coworker who gave you a weird look during the meeting. The shirt that doesn’t fit like it used to. The project you forgot to follow up on. The unopened bills piling up on the counter. The fact that someone didn’t text you back right away. The number on the scale. The weird noise your car made. The way someone posted something online that annoyed you. That thing you said six months ago that still wakes you up some nights.
So much of our energy goes into things that fade fast. Things that barely survive the day, let alone the month. And yet, they have the power to wreck our peace, steal our focus, and convince us that we’re behind or broken or not doing enough.
And for what?
If something truly matters, it’s worthy of your attention. If it has impact beyond the now — on your…
